Cantor’s Corner

For thousands of years the human voice graced our worship as a solo and an accompanying "instrument".  The Psalms urge us to explore new ways to praise: "Shiru L'Adonai Shir Chadash" - "Sing to God a new song".   Shir Chadash, our Adult Choir, explores repertoire representing a variety of genres, including new works that answer the call of our Psalms.  The collective work of our choir provides a rich sound, enhancing our worship experience.  This ensemble helps to create sacred moments during Shabbat, important celebrations and commemorations.  Shir Chadash rehearses Monday evenings at 7:30 pm during the school year.  Cantor Goldstein serves as the music director and conductor with our organist/accompanist Paul Vander Weele

In addition to these formal opportunities to participate in the musical life of our community, we also welcome all our community ‘s talented members to offer their special gifts on an individual basis.  Throughout the year we are blessed to share these gifts when singers and instrumentalists join the clergy in creating a meaningful worship experience.

Please contact Cantor Goldstein to join Shir Chadash at 847-835-0724 ext. 645
