What’s In A Name
(Midrash on Lech L‘cha – Lasky 2009)

There was once a man named Avram,
Who moved to Canaan.
He walked before G-d,
Yad b’yad.
And then he became Avraham.

The stories that we preach
Are the lessons we teach.
The stories of our life
(are a sum of the) experiences and strife.

Easy to be, but it is hard to change.

What I do and what I think,
What I dream and I desire,
The name to which I aspire...

But it is hard to change.

Easy to be, but it is hard to change.
